Slot Name: Funky Monkey
USA Players: Accepted
Both the Funky and the Monkey parts of the title are equally true. You’re going to get a crazy RTG game here, where the heroes are monkeys which are playing funk music. Safari jeeps, singing monkeys, gold records and banana guitars are all among its symbols, and the result is a hilarious slot machine. As for its characteristics, it offers 20 bet lines, 5 reels and the payouts could bring you up to $10,000.
If you’re in the mood to be entertained, you can try out Funky Monkey, and the best part is that there is no restriction on it for US players, like it is for slots from other developers.
Betting & Jackpots
On both sides of the Auto-play button, you will notice the options marked Bet and Lines. The first one goes from $0.01 to $5, the second option lets you choose 1 to 20 pay lines. The result can be a bet as high as $100, or as low as $0.01. Payouts of 2,000 coins, or $10,000, are possible through combinations of five symbols.
One of the four symbols with special abilities of the slot, the Funky Monkey symbol is the wild and the developers reserved it for only three reels. It appears on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels, and from there it substitutes for all the regular symbols that need its help.
The Banana Guitar, one of the most imaginative symbols of the slot, appears in any position in the game and based on the total number of scatters present on the reels it will pay between 1x and 100x the bet value.
The last two symbols are the scatters Funky and Monkey. These two logos appear on the 1st (Funky) and 5th reels (Monkey). Have them present at the same time on their reels, and you get a feature. You pick a monkey to play a funky tune and depending on the applause level, you get a number of up to 25 free spins. These two symbols will act as extra wilds and each time they appear the multiplier will go up by 1x. The maximum multiplier possible for the features is at 10x.
It’s not a design that I would normally be impressed with, but if they wanted something to simulate the psychedelic 70s, then they did a pretty good job. The symbols are monkey or music related, part playing cards with psychedelic drawings on them.
I was quite impressed with the features of Funky Monkey, and even that retro design manages to look appropriate in its case.
