Slot Name: Fruit Frenzy
USA Players: Accepted
In Fruit Frenzy, RTG has used a design which relies on fruits in the vast majority of its symbols, but which is also inspired by circus performers. You have the various fruits turned into characters and acting in one role or another. The plum is holding popcorn, the Pear is a ballerina, the Melon is a cannon, and so on. Otherwise, the game offers 5 reels, there are 25 bet lines inside and payouts go as high as $2,500.
If you find this game irresistibly funny or attractive, though I doubt many will, you will be able to play it at any RTG casino, meaning that even US players will have it in their arsenal.
Betting & Jackpots
With watermelon slices acting as the up and down arrows, the betting options rely on two buttons, marked Bet and Lines. The line bet will start at $0.01, and will only go up to $0.25. If you leave all the lines selected, bet values will range from $0.25 to $6.25, making this one of the cheaper slots to play. Top rewards will pay you back 10,000 coins, with a value of $2,500.
Pineapple, a character with a thin French mustache, is the symbol you will be most happy to see form a combination. It is the symbol which pays the most, as many as 10,000 coins being awarded for a combination of up to five symbols. At the same time, this is the wild symbol, the only one that can be part of other combinations. The only ones that can’t be substituted with a Pineapple wild are the Fruit and Frenzy logos.
Both Fruit and Frenzy are scattered symbols, with logos on them. Get more than one scattered logos of the same type, in any position, and your reward will be up to 200x the wager in the case of Fruit Logo, and 100x for Frenzy Logo.
The slot’s bonus game is called Daredevil Feature and it’s triggered in the most unusual way. You simply need a combo of 5 symbols to form on an active line, and if that happens, the bonus game triggers. If there are multiple combinations of 5 symbols, there are just as many rounds.
Rounds in this bonus game come with three attempts that you have at your disposal, in shooting a daredevil Strawberry through the target. You win points and you get free games based on the total score. Multipliers of 2x are applied to the wins obtained during the free spins.
This, quite clearly, is not the most impressive or attractive characteristic of the game. The design looks dated, plus the characters and objects looking like they were clip-art images from Microsoft’s Office suite during the late 90s. They look like they’re having fun though, and at the time of its launch, I’m sure it was an interesting experience. It can still be if you love the retro style.
I found the game to be enjoyable, as long as I managed to forget about the design. The features can make it easy, at least if you’re lucky enough to trigger 5 symbol combinations and get bonus games and free spins from them.
