Slot Name: Fame and Fortune
USA Players: Accepted
Fame and Fortune is a game that focuses on one of the most common desires that teenagers and adults alike have in common, though perhaps in different percentages. It’s the wish to be famous and rich, which Hollywood actors generally are, so the game chooses to focus on them and on their profession. It’s a movie-themed game, with 5 reels, 20 bet lines and with prizes of $25,000 in the base game.
The closer you are to Hollywood, the more you will be exposed to its influence and want to be there, at least that’s the theory. US players will have access to this slot machine if they love the theme, this being an RTG game.
Betting & Jackpots
You may modify the bet by changing both the number of coins/lines and their value. The value of a line bet starts at just $0.01 and goes up to $5. With the maximum bet reaching a value of $100, it can be an expensive slot to play, but it can be cheap as well. While in base game mode, you can get up to 5,000 coins, or $25,000 cash. The free spins have multipliers though, so there the jackpot is worth up to $75,000. The usual RTG random progressive prize is also part of the game.
The Glamour Girl, the actress apparently, is a symbol which the game reserves for the middle reels (2, 3 and 4). It doesn’t substitute for scatter symbols, but it works just fine with the regular ones and it applies a 2x multiplier when it’s part of new combinations.
One of the scatter symbols which the game has is the one with the Diamond on it. It will only offer prizes in the base game, with values being as high as 100 times the bet.
The Hollywood Boulevard Stars, with the names Fame and Fortune on them, are symbols which the 1st and the 5th reels get. The Fame icon on the 1st reel, with the Fortune icon on the 5th, will trigger the free spins.
You start off with 10 free spins and with a 2x multiplier for the first 5. The second set of 5 spins gets a 3x multiplier. Not only does the game have more Diamond scatters on the reels during these spins, but three or more of them can re-trigger the feature with an extra 10 rounds.
The action seems to take place in a cinema hall. You see the red velvet drapes in the front, behind the reels. Gold letters and borders are used wherever possible, for a more luxurious feeling. The symbols which come themed have a high quality, but the playing cards are quite basic and boring.
Hollywood’s power of attraction is shown in full force in Fame and Fortune. There are a lot of things that RTG did right in this game, and few that annoy, so all things considered I’d recommend it.
