Slot Name: Dream Run

Software: RTG

Reels: 5

Paylines: 25

USA Players: Accepted

The car racing theme has been quite popular among slot developers, and Dream Run is yet another example of how cool and exciting cars can be. With the action taking place at night, as it should be in any slot machine that has this theme, it offers you 5 reels and a total of 25 win lines. You will also get to try out some features that I think you will love, even one where you can do some racing among them. Top payouts here will go up to $7,500.

Players that are from the US will be happy to hear that this is one of the slot machines they can play, RTG titles being accessible to them.

Betting & Jackpots

It’s even easier than usual to place a bet in Dream Run. You only have the Bet option to work with, which will modify the value of the coins, while keeping their total number fixed at 25 (for 25 lines). The wager starts from the minimum of $0.25 and will go up to $25, meaning that the denomination is from $0.01 to $1. With a wild helping out, prizes can have a value of up to $7,500. Without it, it’s only $2,500.

Two random progressive prizes are also advertised on the main screen, and you get a chance to win one at the end of one of the paid spins.

RTG Slot Game Dream Run

RTG tried to do things differently here, at least feature-wise, so you have two different wilds, multipliers, some weird scatters that don’t help you all the time and a bonus game.

First, we have the symbols with the Racer and with the Opponent. They’re both wild symbols, but while the Racer is reserved for the 1st reel and has a 3x multiplier, the Opponent can appear on the reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. They can both replace any regular symbol, but not the scatter.

The scatter is interesting, mostly because it takes the form of a Light. Whenever you have at least two light scatters present, they will turn to another color, either green or red. If it’s red, you don’t get anything. For two or more green lights, you get paid 1x to 100x the wager value.

With 3+ Green Lights scattered on the reels, the result will be a bonus game called Dream Run Racing. You pick your favorite from the five cars that are shown, and then the race begins. Depending on the place on which your car finishes (1st to 5th), you can win between 5 and 25 free spins. If you’re one of the first three cars, you get a second race, where you win a prize worth between 5x and 100x the bet. Finish in the first or second position, and a third race triggers, where you once again win cash prizes.

I’m not a huge fan of the design, but RTG did a decent job with the game, offering quite a few well-made symbols. Even the playing cards look somewhat adequate for this theme, having tire marks on them.

Fans of cars and racing will get a kick out of it, and the features were designed to be entertaining as well, though in the case of the bonus game a bit difficult to trigger.
